Yapunto formed in France with a Colombian singer and an Afro-Latin style.

Cimarrón play harp-driven music from the eastern plains of Colombia.

The upcoming Analog Africa release features music from Northern Brazil - Belém and the state of Pará.

Le Vent du Nord are the leading purveyors of contemporary Quebecois roots.

Rupa & the April Fishes are from San Francisco and Terra Livre are eco-activists from Portugal.


Kongo dia Ntotile are UK jazz with Congolese rhythm - African music brought up in London.

Congolese guitarist, Dizzy Mandjeku, joins up with Colombia’s Alé Kumá, reuniting traditions.

BCUC are Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness, playing extended funky grooves from Soweto.


Idan Raichel, Israeli composer and bandleader, has Nigerien guitarist Bombino guesting.

Hama Sankaré, one-time sideman to Ali Farka Touré, is Malian percussionist and singer.

Massa Dembele, from Burkina Faso, is a singer and master of the kamele n’goni harp.

AKA Trio are renowned musicians from Italy, Senegal and Brazil - Antonio Forcione, Seckou Keita, Adriano Adewale.

Rhiannon Giddens, soulful singer, banjo and fiddle player, joins with Francesco Turrisi, Italian multi-instrumentalist and long-time Irish resident.

Park Jiha plays traditional Korean instruments in a non-traditional manner..
