On this week's programme:

TootArd are from the no-man's land of the Golan Heights.
Gabacho Maroc connect Africa and Morocco to France and Western Europe.
BKO are the gritty contemporary face of Malian tradition.
Msafiri Zawose and Tanzanian tradition meet Sam Jones, Soundthread DJ and producer.
Glitterbeat's Chris Eckman & co.'s Dirtmusic collaborate with Baba Zula's Murat Ertel for their fifth album.
Hama Sankare was percussionist to Ali Farka Touré and Afel Bocoum.

Namvula has Zambian and Scottish heritage and a songwriting style which reflects that range.
Charles Duvelle's photographs and recordings are a valuable record of rural life in West and Central Africa, India and South-East Asia.
3MA are a cross-cultural string trio from Morocco (Maroc), Mali and Madagascar.

Alash are throat-singers from Tuva with deep roots and an outward gaze.
Ross Daly has incubated some remarkable music and musicians on the island of Crete where he lives, and Kelly Thoma is one of his protegees.

Kyab Yul-Sa is a trio of Tibetan voice and lute, and two French musicians.
"Mugham Souls" puts a French jazz singer with an Azerbaijani vocalist and ensemble.
Brigid Mae Power has a second album on US label Tompkins Square, recorded in Ireland.
